Find me
// Short Film | 15:00 mins
Set in California in the early 90s, Find Me is a story about two damaged people, trying to heal each other through love. This tale follows the return of John Walker, a late teenage runaway with subversive tendencies, after his sudden disappearance, as well as his troubled relationship to unsung artist Rita Hughes, which leads them both into a severe predicament.
« We wish to share our experience to reach, transport and inspire other people. The cultural medium of film allows us to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS, due to an absence of knowledge and regard. As well as the ongoing stigma and cruel discrimination towards the people who carry the virus. »

Inspired through the work of con- temporary Austrian writer Michael Köhlmeier, particularly his narrative Sunrise (1994), early thoughts evolved around the premise of three chapters unfolding into one tale – a heightened reality. Revealing a time in the life of the characters, where they feel intense emotions.
The core image of two vastly different individuals in a crisis arose. Both captivated upon their innocence and a shared sense of sorrow and agony, which led to a series of unfortunate events throughout their lives.
Through a writing process of several months, the concept evolved to a much greater extent than initially intended, reaching feature length.
Due to a lack financial resources and time constraints, it was decided to re-construct the plot, visualising the first chapter only, therefore al- lowing the picture to become more distinctive and self-contained.
The entire story has been outlined and is currently in process of being adapted into a screenplay.
