In the 2014-2020 funding period, roughly EUR 536 million worth of funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) was available to Austria for strengthening investments in growth and jobs.

Amongst them is V-Research GmbH a leading industrial research and development lab whose main objective is to strengthen the economy by finding customer-oriented solutions through digital technologies and surface physics.

ESF PROGRAMME

HORIZON 2020

We visited the architects of Cree – Creative Resource & Energy Efficiency who were the first to build a eight-storey wooden building in Austria by focusing on sustainability in urban development.
The project was under Horizon 2020 programme that ran from 2014 to 2020 with a €80 billion budget. It provided research and innovation funding for multi-national collaboration projects as well as for individual researchers and supported SMEs with a special funding instrument.

In this report we take a look at the tri-border area around the lake of Constance funded by INTERREG, a series of programmes for stimulating cooperation between regions in and out of the European Union.
We went back to school with a park ranger who brings her class outdoors
and show children the diversity of insects and creatures in the Alps.
Additionally we interviewed an ecologist promoting habitation areas in urban space and spoke to engineers from Energy Institute Vorarlberg working on the development and prototypical application of strategies, concepts and specific tools to reduce the number of cars in commuter traffic aka. PEMO.

LE 2014-2020 – LEADER PROGRAMME

Progress report for the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Regions and Tourism in Vorarlberg. The wide ranging programme focuses on youth suffering with mental issues, support in nursing homes, after school learning and regional cheese production.
The program concludes with the maintenance of the Nagelfluhkette a mountain range located in Bavaria Germany and Vorarlberg Austria.
